Santa comes Tomorrow
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY! Looking forward to some point in time over the next day or two when I can get some rest, over-eat, and watch some good movies…but for now still gifts to wrap, chores and places to get to before that can happen. My little guy is almost two and his comprehension is leaps and bounds above last year. This’ll be fun for all of us because of that. I just know Grandma’s gone and spoiled him though. Come Christmas morning his collection of toys will probably double on her account…
“An honest steamie…”
“An honest steamie beats a pouty puffer any day!” If you have young children I think inevitably you’ll find yourself watching whatever video or programming happens to be your childs favorite over and over and over (etc. ad nauseum). Ethan’s happens to be Thomas Tank Engine . I used to shake my head at the thought of the TV as a babysitting device, but sometimes it’s simply not feasible to be with your child every second and they simply will not stand to be alone…and so out comes Thomas, or Bob the Builder, or Veggie Tales… I just hope I can find a way to work ‘honest steamie’ and ‘pouty puffer’ into my day to day conversations.
Winter’s finally here
Nothing marks the changing of seasons/passing of time for me like the first snow which we’re having today. Shorter days and changing leaves just don’t have the same impact. That “there goes another year…” feeling mixed with nostalgic memories of years past. Perhaps my birthday being this month and Christmas coming up fast has something to do with it as well.
I’m nuts!
Well, most who put web sites together I think are. I haven’t pulled an all-nighter for a very, very long time. My face feels numb. I attempted to get my entire site re-worked in one day… If you’re looking at it and there’s gaps at the top, ‘no-name’ links that go no-where, and various other strange things, bear in mind it will look wonderful in the end…so check back in a week or so. Anyway, I think I have the guts worked out and can tweak away once I catch a ‘z’ or two, but both the site and I are hurtin’ now.
