…Well… sorta…

I had a good start on the RHC Insurance Brokers mockup but needed to flesh out an interior page. I generally find that I get a good kick of inspiration to start, but that will wear out shortly, and it’s in digging further into the site, other pages and such, that new inspiration will come. At that point I have to be open to radically revising what I thought was so great in my initial inspiration, which can be difficult but gets me the best results in the end.

There’s still much in these mockups that needs tweaking, but it’s mostly things like finding the perfect image here, or tweaking the colour there. Things not critical to getting the idea across, but would end up costing much more to get perfect at this stage, unnecessarily in my opinion.

Also was provided a good quality logo which looks super. I think it’s coming together nicely.

I had another crack at the Gossip Island mockup following feedback and think I succeeded in a cleaner, sharper look without removing the somewhat retro cues that I think befit a website about a quaint little island.
And then I had to see what the first one would look like with a trimmed down logo treatment. Definite improvement…
