Athiestic Morals
This post interests me…Christopher Hitchens’ book sounds like a good read.
As does Doug Wilson’s response:
“[T]he atheist, a complex chemical reaction according to the best contemporary science, uncorks with scathing observations on the hypocrisies of other complex chemical reactions….”
I really do need to read more from people who come from positions and perspectives other than my own…
Are you sure its not Monday?
Lost my umbrella yesterday, got soaked waiting in the rain for the bus…missed bus (don’t ask how that works out), caught the next one, it broke down, walked to the skytrain. That set the tone…ready to snap. Every person on that cramped skytrain got the evil eye. Especially that ignorant guy with the headphones on bobbing his head cheerfully and reading the paper who leaned on my hand.
Ricardo Macedo Website
I’ve been working on a website for a fitness trainer in London, Ricardo Macedo, as I’ve had time and finally got it up. As it stands it was a re-work of the previous site with a new look. I wanted it to retain the feel of the old site so it keeps the same images and to a certain extent palette. I’m pleased with how it turned out. I was happy with the direction of the original mockup but some really minor tweaks made a big difference towards improving it as far as I’m concerned.
Chinese Parsley, liver and Microfibre…yuck
Microfibre…I hadn’t really taken any notice of the word, or fabric, as that is what it turns out to be. But if you’re looking at furniture these days you’ll be hard pressed to find anything but the stuff. You’re choice: leather or microfibre. It’s soft, cheap, casual and could pass for suede in a pinch…It’s also everywhere and I’m absolutely sick of the stuff. If I see one more square inch of the stuff I’m going to run screaming from the showroom like a maniac…which is quite likely to happen considering we have not yet, in two weekends of searching, found a sofa/loveseat that suits both our taste and budget.
‘Course it would help if our taste and budget were more in line. It’s hard to satisfy a $1000 dollar budget with $4000 dollar taste.
