Big fan

Alright. Finally. A bit of heat here. I had fans, but I figure a couple more can’t hurt and indeed would probably improve things upstairs with a bit of judicious opening and closing of windows and blinds at the appropriate times. So I went a bought a couple more fans. Why dont’ they make a big fan? Like I mean big. Something that really moves that air, maybe blow a few pictures off the wall. You pay 20 bucks you can get a pretty big fan that makes all kinds of noise (which is cool if it’s a big fan) but it moves no air. You can pay 60, 80, and more for some pretty ‘fancy’ fans which are all quiet and rotate and all kinds of tricks; but again-no air moving…at least not like i want.

One of the Village People escaped

The West Coast Express goes past an industrial complex construction zone the last few months and it seems basically they’re just pushing dirt around, digging ditches, filling them in again, packing it all down, etc, etc. This week I noticed a crew of guys has been working on something there, and the reason I noticed is that one of the workers starts to dance and wave frantically while the train goes by. He’s a football field away but his antics ensure he stands out. Today I think he got caught a little off gaurd -maybe he had his back turned- because initially there was no ‘action’…glance away, glance back, and there he is holding his shovel aloft and moving his hips in exaggerated gyrations to the amusement of his co-workers I’d imagine. He only had time to get a few thrusts and spastic wiggles done before we were past though.

…shame.
