Feel like Tetris

At work I’m having one of those periods where I feel like I’m playing Tetris, the blocks are stacking up 3/4ths of the screen and I’ve made a number of blunders up to this point in the game so there’s holes littering the rows so none of them will disappear…and now the blocks are starting to come faster…

Time fer some Super-Soakin’

What a beautiful weekend! Heat I tells ya. So I’ve been thinking about ways of cooling the boys and us down and I realise I hadn’t considered water guns. Why for petes sake? I mean the piddly arsenal of half broken dollar store fair they currently wield is pitiful. So after church today I went on a search for guns. (Not sure how common a post-church activity that is.) I’d been to Superstore and found nothing, was told Canadian Tire was the place to go but they only had two- one humongous thing a 5year old isn’t going to be able to heft (but for daddy…hmmm) and one that required a backpack and thats too much accessory for a two year old. So off to Zellers which had nothing and finally to London Drugs. Went in, b-lined for seasonal, turned a few corners and (cue angelic choir…) there they were! Such selection of discounted waterguns I had not seen. It was like Neo in the infinite armory scene except in technicolour. For so long I’d longed for an excuse to buy a bunch of these things and finally the day was here! I didn’t go crazy though. I got two Super-Soaker Bottle Shots for each of the boys and the bigger one for daddy: Super-Soaker Quick Blast. I did practice some restraint… there were bigger weapons I didn’t get. Needless to say there was some Super-Soakin’ (trademarked) when I got home. Love it!

CAUTION – Do not aim at eyes or face..

TO AVOID INJURY: Use only clean tap water
